This book was adorable. Sure, there is an excess of exposition, and waaaayyy too much time spent describing things like upgrading an inventory. But, it feels very reminiscent of grinding through levels on a video game. The constant heading back to the slime forest was such a spot-on aspect for anyone who has played Zelda or a similar game.
