ok, so this Did Not Need To Be So Long. this books is...

give or take twice the lenghts of the other books in this series, and it was genuinely not necessary.
i mean, the ending was rushed af, and, as much as i do seriously like mac as a main character, the girl did go on and on unecessarily about things, always waxing poetic. i also missed more journal entries in this book, that was a neat format.

that being said, man, one of my favorite likes in the entire book was when he went. Is that a spoiler? better safe than sorry.
despite skimming a buncha bits and then feeling a bit frustrated with the big show down, this was a very entertaining series, i just wish i was more enamored with jericho fucking barrons? so many goodreads i follow are obsessed with him that i guess i just expected more, i wanted him to feel more fleshed out, i wanted to know more about his personality quirks and less about his massive shlong. lol.
3.5 stars, prolly won't reread it, will recommend it to anyone looking for a good, juicy fantasy series to make them feel alive every now and again.
