i love historical fiction such as this series, and i grew up watching this show with my mom. a lot of people are rightly upset with the way native americans are tested and portrayed in this book. it made me uncomfortable as well. however i am glad it was portrayed this way because it’s truthful and we shouldn’t pretend it never happened. i think we can still enjoy classics while calling out  their prejudices. overall i’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series
