Flowers for Algernon by Daniel Keyes
2.0

This is an incredibly interesting book, though perhaps a little over-dramatic. I find that most books that deal with "special needs" cases (or whatever I'm supposed to call them...) tend to allow for too much wallowing or indulging in the tragedy of it all. Flowers for Algernon deals with a great number of psychological, ethical, and intellectual dilemmas, and made for a very interesting, though not entirely pleasant, read.
