Cinderella Is Dead

This book gets only three stars, unfortunately.
I was so excited to finally read a nice fairy tale inspired story, after really liking the author's other book - This Poison Heart. But it was underwhelming.
I definitely enjoyed reading it, but there wasn't enough action to make me fully concentrate on it. The idea, the setting, the characters - they were fantastic, but not executed as well as I expected.
I think my main problem was with the romance between Sophia and Constance. It was just too insta-love for me and I didn't enjoyed how it stayed like that for the rest of the book. Amina wasn't much of a character and her final reveal felt flat.
On the other hand, I really liked how it tackled sexism and abuse of power. Sophia was a nice MC, real and likeable.
It was still a good book, probably just not for me.
