This was a super quick and interesting read! I had a lot of fun reading this one and I ended up really enjoying it. I find Middle Grades can be very hit & miss with me. Some of them I love but others just read very childish in my opinion. The Starspun Web however was written beautifully and I found my self absolutely engrossed in the story.

I loved that this book had a strong theme of friendship throughout the whole book! It was very refreshing and the connections between characters were very fleshed out. I also loved seeing Tess develop as a character and person throughout the story! Tess was also a very thought out character and she showed that it’s okay to be smart and stand up for what is right.

The magic system was also very interesting and very developed. It still left a little mystery (after all the characters don’t even understand it all) but we found out enough to not be confused. The world building was also amazing and was written in a way that made it very picturesque.

Overall I really enjoyed The Starspun Web and I highly recommend picking it up if you are Fantasy fan. This one is a standalone but I will definitely be on the look out for Sinéad O’Hart’s next release!
