Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams
5.0

What a great read. It dealt with a lot of mental health issues that women face in this world. It made me think about the things I’ve done, and or friends I know who went through things. As much as I loooved this book, it gave me so much anxiety to read. Queenie is such a fun loving person, but also very complex. I found myself struggling because of the choices she made, and the fact they she continued even when she didn’t feel right about it. I am aware that everyone makes mistakes, and you have to let people learn on their own. I did love her friend Kyazike. She was my favorite character. Hilarious and loyal. This book dealt with how men view women, and the entitlement some of them share. Especially when you don’t speak up for yourself. Great book overall !!!
