I really enjoyed this story—I think a tournament setting almost always makes for an exciting, high-stakes plot. I feel like Bettina is a disliked heroine, but I enjoyed her evolution—and she had a lot stacked against her. I liked Trehan a lot more than I remember from my first read. I love their shared love of weapons and how sexy he finds her amazing craftsmanship.
