Very cute and full of adventure inspired by Filipino mythology! I'm finding I do enjoy an MG book on audio, my inner child feels like I'm being taken to story time and listening to a magical tale.
The amount of Filipino mythology, gods and goddesses, and folklore stories combined into this singular book is impressive! Reading this back to back with The Spirit Glass isn't really fair because I definitely prefer the slightly more mature writing of the previous book...but this was a cute, adventurous tale and one I'd highly recommend be included in more children book recommendations.
