I hate that I didn’t love this book as much as I thought I was going to.

The author’s voice in writing is very beautiful, but I found that I honestly didn’t care that much about the characters.

The premise of two warring Viking clans coming together to demolish another more powerful Viking clan that was out to destroy the clans is a cool story. But I feel like the action and fighting scenes in this book fell flat. I wanted more action considering this is a book about Vikings.

Also the ending tied together too nicely for me. Not everything has to work out in stories. I was waiting for someone to betray someone else. But all the characters just fell into this perfect little storyline.
