The Fiery Cross by Diana Gabaldon
4.0

This is my 2nd time reading this one. I found it much more enjoyable as an audio book. As written, I remember it dragged on in places, but Davina Porter narrates so vividly that she holds your interest flawlessly.

Overall, this story isn't as gripping as the previous books, though it contains some major story points. It contains Roger's account of how his mother died, which is later detailed (and further explained) in Gabaldon's 2nd novella.

On to book 6.
