City of Ghosts is a perfect read for young adults interested in horror or adults who want something a little scary, but not too scary. While her parents are ghost hunters, Cassidy is the only one who can really see ghosts. One of my favorite parts of this novel was the relationship between the protagonist and her ghost friend, Jacob. The two have a very pure, loyal friendship that is challenged throughout the story. I am excited to read the next book in this series and see their relationship progress.
