Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
4.0

4.5 rounded up at first then rounded down later in the year when I realised it wasn't really staying with me. For that, it would have needed some more characterisation? It's very short and has plenty of space for some.

Though still, it's a bloody good read. There is a real sense of urgency throughout and a burning love of literature (pun intended). Ray Bradbury wrote the first draft of this on a rented typewriter, paid for by the day, in the basement of the library. Many of the literary quotes he got from running upstairs into the library and reaching for the first interesting book on the shelves. It's my opinion that the book still echoes how it was written. I would be interested in others opinions' on this.

This is recommended to anyone who would be horrified at the thought of having to destroy the last copy ever of their favourite novel and would genuinely have to question which is more important the work of fiction or a human life?
