Still not loving the style of prose, still loving the worldbuilding. Overall a much better book than the first instalment; the plot was immediately more gripping, mainly because there was a mystery element to it that I missed in the first book. Well, and because the slow introduction the the world was already done and I had the Hundred Isles vocabulary, I guess.
