I'll be the first to say that this book isn't my usual genre to read. That being said, I once enjoyed The Hunger Games and I enjoy a bit of escapism.

This was perfect for exactly that. You're taken straight into the start of the trails and it's fast paced and a race to the end.

I do think it could have done with more character development maybe at the start and have less descriptive sections however it was easy to read and I enjoyed learning about each trail as the characters progressed.

Recommend for YA fantasy readers and lovers of The Hunger Games.
