i solely read this on my bus rides to and from work and this was the perfect read for it. I particularly enjoyed the documentary writing style. The vision which H.G. Wells paints in this story is brilliant and even gains in brilliance once you realise that this was published in 1898! Following the narrator's journey from Woking to London and back was great and I found myself trying to imagine what those places looked liked since I've had the privilege to have visited some of them.
