Soooo… I didn’t like it.
That’s it, I’ve said it, I didn’t like it.
I’ve only managed to reach the end of it, because the writing was good, as well as the pace. However, there is a big element to it that made me say “I don’t like it” : it’s toxic. The main relationship portrayed in the novel is toxic from the beginning till the very end of the book, as well as the other relationships, included friendships.
While reading this book, I couldn’t say what was its aim. Telling a passionate love story? Condemn such toxic conducts ? I honestly could not say, and this is what spoiled the reading for me, while I enjoyed the writing itself (very fluid dialogues, nice descriptions of characters etc.)
