This year at The Booklinker, we encourage you to get connected to the sticky stuff—you know, the sap, the sinew. That tacky, gluey binder like an egg that makes a cake of dubious origins.
In the age of AI, arguably a time of extreme disconnect from the tactile, it’s all about diving back in, with canine relish.
Art and artifice, life and mimicry—what can we swallow, imbibe. Microplastics? Poison? Blood? It’s up to you.
Some of the prompts may seem the opposite of embodied: this year we are prompting ghosts, artificial things, hydropower, even psychics. But some of the realest things avoid touch, they instead fuel us, power us, worm their way to our bones.
The weird has always been analogue. It is made up of odd parts.
