Partly based on my TBR stack of books, and partly based on my outrage that I studied Russian for so long without reading any literature by anyone other than dudes. I love Tolstoy, but there is so much more out there.

Also a general reminder in this time that every country, state, etc., no matter what its government does, is home to queer people and people who hold views opposing the government's actions.
