I am DMing Curse of Strahd in the near future and asked my sibling for help compiling a list of books with a nice gothic vibe that I might read for inspiration. This is what we came up with. (Not necessarily a complete list yet! I might add a few more books. And if there are any additions that make very little sense, well... I added some on a whim without properly checking whether they actually fit the vibe but shhh let's not talk about that.)

The list also includes nonfiction books I might use as inspiration when crafting the world the PCs come from.

A super niche challenge all in all, but if you too happen to want to read these books, you are more than welcome to join!
