Overview
This challenge is to read books that have their main character born during the zodiac sign that is based on the current date.
The guildlines are as follows:
1. Read at least one book during that zodiac’s season that has a main character born during that season.
That’s it! It can be any genre, any length, any book you want!
This specific challenge is made for the IAU Boundaries Zodiac - a calendar based around the idea that there are 13 zodiac signs instead of 12, including previously ignored constellation of Orphiuchus. The zodiac signs are calculated based the trajectory of the sun passing through the constellation. This challenge runs for a Gregorian calendar year (365 days) to allow for people to finish the challenge in its entirety.
(Side note: I meant to get this up by March 19th for the start of Aries in the tropical zodiac, but due to medical reasons, I wasn’t able to. I apologize for the delay.)
I made this challenge to allow for people who wish to do it with a single calendar of their preference. If you wish to do a different single calendar (the Tropical or the Fagan-Bradley Sidereal calendar), a combination of two of the three, or all three calendars at once, you can find them easily under the following titles on my profile or in the search:
Single Calendar:
1. Sidereal Zodiac Reading Challenge
3. IAU Boundaries Zodiac Reading Challenge
Dual Calendar:
1. Tropical/Sidereal Zodiac Reading Challenge
2. Tropical/IAU Boundaries Zodiac Reading Challenge
3. Sidereal/IAU Boundaries Zodiac Reading Challenge
Triple Calendar:
1. Triple Zodiac Calendar Reading Challenge
I also wanted to add some bonus challenges for those who want a harder challenge, which can be finished in conjunction with the other base goals that are listed. Bonus goals may be added as we go, but they will be only bonus ones so they do not affect your base challenge.
Overall, just have fun with it! This is just to really have a lighthearted challenge that brings some fun to the year for those who appreciate astrology and astronomy. I have always loved the stars, astronomy, and astrology, and I wish to share my love with others who also have it.
