Overview
A fun prompt challenge to encourage all of us to read more books from independent publishers!
The only 'rule' is that the books should be published by an independent publisher!

- In this house, audiobooks obviously count. Accessibility always.
- I wanted to ensure that it was impossible to complete the challenge without engaging with the works of marginalised authors because we know how hetero-normative whiteness likes to centre itself, but I also didn't want the number of prompts to get too unwieldy. If there's any prompts you really think ought to be separated or added, please just let me know.
- If anyone (myself included) adds a book to a prompt that you deem to be problematic in some way, please drop me a DM and I can remove it.
- Because of the nature of publishing, a book can simultaneously be published by an indie in one location and the big 5 (or other publishing behemoth) in another. I suggest sticking with whoever published the copy you have access to, but feel free to use your discretion!
- Adding books and ensuring that a variety of independent publishers are represented is proving time consuming so please be patient with me while I balance research/adding suggested books with work! And please, please feel free to add your own!
- There is every chance I'll add prompts occasionally, so please don't be too distressed if your progress % unexpectedly drops.
P.S. Remember these should be titles published by an indie press! Make sure you double check it isn't a sneaky imprint of a mahoosive publisher.
