Overview
I have a world called Magical Mayhem. So far it's stuff in my head, a few drawings, some story plans, and nearly two chapters of a middle-grade book, but I love it and I think the characters and world are some of my best and most fleshed out work!!
This challenge is themed around the characters in my universe. Of course, you don't know these characters, but I find them all quite different and thought that, no matter your interest, you will find a prompt that matches your tastes!!
You can complete one or more of the prompts depending on what you feel like, and even try to use one book for multiple prompts. Unless specified, the prompt doesn't have to apply to the main character, but must be explicitly mentioned (or very heavily implied) in the book either way. The bonus books are related to themes in the world rather than characters, I just thought they would be fun extras in case you want to take them on!!
My only rules are that you stick to the prompts, and that you don't add Harry Potter to the challenge. It may fit with the more magical prompts, and you have full right to read what you want in your own time, but I don't feel comfortable with it on this challenge. If you break these rules I will delete your book suggestion from the prompt page.
CHALLENGE CONTENT WARNINGS
This challenge doesn't force you to stick with one specific theme though going ahead there will be prompts relating to the following themes and therefore care is advised if browsing the prompts for book recs:
-Death (specifically family and spouses)
-Abuse/neglect (generally, towards children)
-Addiction
-Mental health problems (both generally, and specifics which are: BPD, implied depression)
-Religion (generally)
-Brief sex mentions (no prompts specifically relating to sex)
Please be aware that the books under these prompts may have additional content warnings which I obviously can't update every time a new book is added, so please read CWs on the individual books as well! Stay safe!
I will also add warnings to the individual prompts in case you still want to complete the challenge but skip the ones with those themes. Even if it doesn't read 100% complete on Storygraph, you've beaten the challenge in my eyes!!
