Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (she/her) is an award-winning Nigerian author of novels, short stories, poetry, essays and nonfiction. 

Pulling from her familial background and childhood on the campus of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Adichie writes mostly about life in her home country, focusing particularly on the themes of race, class, gender, feminism, and war. She divides her time between the United States and Nigeria. In 2008, Adichie was the recipient of a MacArthur Genius Grant
