チートな鍛冶屋の元に妖精が連れてきた依頼人は、黒の森の主!?魔宝石の製作に成功し、妖精達を病から救ったエイゾウ。始まる夏に向けて、仲間たちと井戸掘りに精を出していると、黒の森の主を名乗る樹木精霊(ドライアド)がエイゾウの元を訪れる。彼女の依頼は、とある強力な魔物を退治してほしいというもの。エイゾウ達が黒の森の最高戦力である、というのがお声がかかった理由らしい。放置すれば、魔物の大量発生にも繋がりかねない。自らの住まう森のため、エイゾウは家族とともにその討伐に挑むことにするのだが……?
