This was just about a perfect book. Dare I say I loved this one more than Heated Rivalry ? Yes. I dare. The other books in this series? They’re OK. More than ok, they're very good, but these two, and THIS ONE, are the cream of the crop. So of course I loved it. I haven’t expected anything less. The Long Game has incresed my respect for Rachel Reid tenfold. She knew the hype and didn't write a sequel just to satisfy our curiosity. She wrote the perfect ending dedicated to the most loved MM couple (at least in my opinion). This book made my heart hurt and it made me cry in the best way possible. Ilya's struggles were painful to read because I absolutely love his character, and him being unhappy is horrible. There were times throughout where I was so mad at Shane because he was being really self-centred, but they really are so good together and deserved their happy ending. You can really feel their love for each other and I would read absolutely anything about Ilya and Shane quite happily.
Overall, just, it's always been Ilya. His fear, love, courage, ego-- He swept the series.

P.S- This book deserves at least 10 rereads and I am fucking planning to do that in future.
