Shane and Ilya definitely had more growth in this sequel and showed more emotional depth. I liked that Ilya's issues were brought up and that he was actively working on them. Shane's parents were too cute with Ilya (he deserved all the love they showered him with).

i really liked this one!! the relationship felt really complex and i loved ilya's arc and the focus on his mental health and how messy and complicated things could be in a realistic way. i think it was maybe a bit too long/things starting feeling repetitive. i'm not a super big fan of outings as a plot device, but aside from that it was nice! it had a much better smut to romance ratio than the last one.
emotional inspiring
