A really nice follow up to Heated Rivalry. This book lovingly explores what happens in the first years following a happily ever after and allows a deeper look into our beloved leads. I laughed a lot, my heart ached for these characters, and it was lovely to see them find their way to another joyful forever. Super sweet! Lots of fun! Definitely recommend to fans who had even a cursory interest in the first book featuring Ilya and Shane. 

Shane didn't feel as bad on this reread.

I am so happy there was a sequel to Heated Rivalry!! I had no idea it existed and it was the best surprise ever. I needed more Ilya and Shane in my life and this was just the best continuation of their story. I'm sad it didn't show too far into the future to show them make it to the playoffs and/or win the cup, or show them have a family. But I'm so glad we got the story we did, it was so great to watch them grow. I was hoping Shane would end up on the Centaurs with Ilya, I wanted them to be teammates finally and for Shane to play for a team that cared.
