This book was so funny! I've never even heard of Zach, but I was intrigued by the cover art and title and since I've been reading more non-fiction lately, I wanted to give this a whirl. It's a collection of little essays and lists from the perspective of a queer, ex-Christian, millennial - right up my alley! I mostly laughed, but there are a couple heavier sections, dealing, as you might imagine, with Zach's queerness in relation to his still very-Christian parents. But I don't think it's too heavy and it's very short, if you're looking for a quick read to take on a short trip or meet your yearly goal with. You can even take your time, just reading one essay or list at a time, as they're not so connected that you need to remember every detail of the prior ones. I just think people should check it out, because it's great!

Perhaps audiobook wasn’t the best format but I expected this to be funnier.

Reminiscent of David Sedaris, with the same poignance and wit but a younger, more modern voice.
