I am a fan of the Eddie Flynn series, and this book was no exception. I loved the plot of this one with twin sisters both accusing the other one of murdering their father. I was pretty sure I knew how this was going to play out, but that didn't keep me from second guessing myself throughout the book. Cavanagh has become one of my favorite thriller writers, and I can't wait to check out what he writes next!

I picked this one up and could not put it down.

There wasn't a single thing I did not like about it.

It was a riveting story from page one. A great mystery that kept me guessing. And the ending was satisfying.

This is the beginning of my Eddie Flynn addiction.

I really enjoyed this book. The pacing and writing were fantastic. I was hooked from the first page, and I didn't put it down until I'd devoured the whole thing. Plus, the characters were great. You really got a feel for them, and switching between different points of view kept things super interesting.

Even though this is book five in the series, it totally works as a standalone. You don't need to have read the previous books to get sucked in. So, if you're like me and hesitant to jump into a series midway, don't be!

Bottom line is I loved it. This book was a blast, and I'm already adding more Steve Cavanagh to my TBR pile. If you're looking for a thriller that will keep you guessing, this is it. Highly recommend!

Thank you to NetGalley and Atria Books for an ARC of this book. I was provided an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

It's been a long while since I've read a legal thriller and this one just knocked my socks off! Two sisters who each accuse the other of offing their father. Both sisters have nervous tells and it was truly a mind bend to figure out which one is guilty.

I haven't read the whole series but Eddie going from one side of the law (lawless) to the other (a lawyer) is super interesting. It took me a bit to warm up to the character of Kate but as soon as she struck out on her own, I fell for her. She was so bada** at the end too ...I was cheering her on (even though for what she went through was sick 😵‍💫)
