Sarah McBride has an amazing story to tell about being trans, coming out, what its like to be an activist inside legislative walls, and heartbreak because of loss. Her drive to make the world a better place for everyone , and her compassion for all shines through in this book. As a trans individual who also happens to have a partner with a chronic illness, I felt like I was reading my own story sometimes (except without all the amazing activism and political accomplishments!).
This book is a must for trans folks and allies alike to get a window into some of the challenges trans people face as state houses across the country work tirelessly to take away rights from the LGBTQ+ community.

Inspiring story, well told. Sarah is an amazing person.
This is absolutely the best memoir I’ve ever read. It is filled with such passion and kindness and love and I very much think everyone needs to read it. Congratulations, Sarah McBride on your recent election win in Delaware!!
Sweet narrative, enjoyable writing style, I read this with my mom and we both enjoyed getting to know Sarah's story, especially during an election year for her. Looking forward to seeing the ways she will continue to have an influence on public policy.
