How I have never heard of Jill Shalvis I don’t know, but I’ll definitely be reading more of her! So underrated! Loved it

Surprisingly, this one was of Shalvis' books that I did enjoy. I found it to be somewhat boring, although it still had some enjoyable moments.

Meh. Conflict felt a little tantrumy.

This friends to lovers romance is book 2 in the Sunrise Cove series. Tae's stubborness was annoying at times. You like him, just go for it! And I didn't like April much, nor did I appreciate her lying. Tae is more than old enough to know about her dad. I don't understand why it was such a big secret.

Riggs and Tae are the best kind of couple for tis reader, they have a hard earned relationship. Both have issues, big ones that they struggle with, this is not an easy intsa love story. Tae raised by a single teen mother, who handed down some of her own issues. Riggs who come from an abusive background of a different nature is alway on the run. They are very likable, very layered characters as are the rest of the cast.
I really enjoyed this book. I connected with the characters. We had some similar past experiences which made it even more relatable. It's all about acceptance, forgiveness, and love.
