Maybe not quite as good as volume 2, but still pretty good in its own right. Can't wait for volume 4.

I've had these books for a very long time. I became a fan of Gaiman's through is prose writing at first, and so there was a complex melange of feelings about why I didn't just tear through Sandman right away. Maybe I was worried it wouldn't live up to its reputation. Maybe I was slightly intimidated by the heft of the book itself. Maybe a few other things besides. But I finally did start reading. And then, I put Volume 3 off because I wanted to make it last. I wanted to delay the experiencing of these stories for the first time. Gaiman is one of those rare creators whose stuff just really resonates with me, and this was no different.

Always good, a bit... Sexuely vividly described at times

Neil Gaiman continues to amaze me as he weave magic of words and impress upon how dreams are made up of real stuff.
Book three is mostly about Dream, as in he is actually present in most of the stories and is not just in the background. Him and Delirium went on a journey and as you go along with them you get invested in it yourself. Chapters with Delirium in it were hilarious and exceptionally delightful, which might be a bit ironic, given that she use to be Delight and then change forced her to be Delirium. More than anything, it was the way those two endless interacted with the physical world which made it pure delight. And the Raven was just added to the comedy of situation. Destiny was of course as stoic as ever.
The chemistry between Delirium and Dream was worth every page they were in together. It is just amazing, even better than the one between Death and Dream. Death tend to big sister Dream often, and when you learn the kind of uuummmm...I don't know, person?, when you learn the kind of person that Dream is it makes perfect sense for Death to be so, which honestly is quite nice. With Delirium though, it is quite the opposite. Dream has to act as big and caring brother and after some initial hiccups he does prove to be a great brother!

Overall, just another fantastic collection!

Maybe I would like these better not in huge volumes like this. It seems to just go on and on with no real direction.

Loved A Game of You and World's End. The story about the fantastical city of Baghdad is a particular favorite.

How much of reality is reality and how much of it is filled in by story?

Naked endless, do not like. Chibi endless are super cute.
